The science behind PurTabs and PurOne
Both products use NaDCC, which forms hypochlorous acid (HOCl) in water, the same compound the immune system makes to fight germs. See the published research, white papers and field results behind them.
NYU Langone Health compares three sporicidal disinfectants on patient room surfaces
Across 774 surface samples at two NYU Langone hospitals, NaDCC (PurTabs) produced significantly lower colony counts than peracetic acid/hydrogen peroxide or electrolyzed water. Adding an electrostatic sprayer after wiping lowered counts further.
Always read and follow label directions. Approved uses, kill claims and contact times are on each product's current EPA-registered label.
