Healthcare infection prevention, backed by the label
Published, peer-reviewed, head to head
A study published in the American Journal of Infection Control in June 2022 ran for eighteen months across two hospitals and analyzed 774 surface samples. It compared sodium dichloroisocyanurate, the chemistry behind PurOne and PurTabs, head to head against a peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide system and an electrolyzed water system.
Sodium dichloroisocyanurate produced significantly lower colony counts than either comparator, and the authors concluded it was the best sporicidal disinfectant in the study. Adding electrostatic application reduced counts further still.

Frequently asked
How do I know which pathogen page applies to my facility?
Start with whatever organism your infection prevention committee is asking about — each page links back here, and the ‘Every pathogen, one place’ list above covers all eight currently on the site.
Are these claims independently verified, or just marketing copy?
Every ppm, contact time, and EPA registration number on this site is pulled directly from the approved EPA master labels for PurOne (71847-7) and PurTabs (71847-6) — not summarized or rounded.
What if the organism I'm dealing with isn't on this site yet?
Talk to our healthcare team — the label may cover more organisms than currently have a dedicated page, and we can point you to the exact claim.
